The parking lot at Johsaien, a tourist facility within Kumamoto Castle, is full of tour buses. It's extremely crowded. Many people were sitting on blankets, enjoying the cherry blossom viewing.

After walking about 30 minutes from Kumamoto Castle, We headed to Mannichi-yama Green Park.

As you climb the hill, you reach the green park. Here, you can also see many cherry blossoms.

From the observation deck at the green park, you can see Kumamoto City below. Kumamoto Station is just beneath, and in the distance, the Aso mountains can be seen.
